Shippen Construction Co. is a company that specializes in installation of underground cable and ducts for telephone lines and other utilities.  Directional boring is our primary means of installation.  We do river and ditch crossings, road bores, town work, direct plowing and trenching, and also have equipment to directional drill on line grade sewer.

Company owner, Jim Shippen, has 34 years experience in installation of aerial cable, underground cable and ducts for telephone, cable TV and other utilities.  Mr. Shippen personally supervises many jobs.  We have two supervisors that have a combined 55 years of experience.  Charlie Meyer has 22 years of experience in engineering-staking, design and resident engineer. Charlie also has 19 years experience in construction of telephone, cable TV and power.  Brad Davis has 14 years in telephone construction as supervisor, foreman and operator.

Our crews get the job done on time and safety is very important to us.  We take pride in our work and understand that our customers expect and deserve our best effort everyday we work on your project.

We currently have contractor's license in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida.  Insurance certification will be furnished upon request.  Bonding provided Cincinnati Insurance Company.
